Keiko Shibata’s unique artwork has now become Hobonichi Techo covers. “Bread floating in the wind” is one of the works drawn in 2022 on the theme of “wind.” Black, yellow, and red cats ride on the bread, flying through the air. The cats move forward with the wind blowing directly before them, making their legs and tails perky. Where are they traveling to?
The butterfly stoppers and the card pockets on the inner cover are also printed in the beautiful color of the sky. The two bookmarks are in ivory and brown, inspired by the color of the bread. The soft synthetic leather is finished to a suede touch, with no charms.
