Yumi Kitagishi: Take a Look

This is the April-start Japanese version of the Hobonichi Techo Weeks planner with weekly pages.

The Weeks book is slim and roughly the size of a long wallet, making it easy to fit into a bag or suit pocket. Even at 240 pages, the Weeks is incredibly compact. The cover has been constructed as a light hardcover book with some give to it so it still bends. When you order this Hobonichi Techo Weeks, you’ll receive a clear, adhesive corner pocket you can stick anywhere you like.

The weekly spread contains the weekly calendar on the left page and the blank graph paper on the right page. This layout allows you to easily view your schedule at a glance while taking notes and drawing plans. The book uses thin and light yet durable Tomoe River S paper. This allows the book to contain an incredible number of pages while still remaining totally compact. This paper is resistant to bleed-through and provides a smooth surface for an optimal writing experience.

The cover is made in collaboration with popular illustrator, Yumi Kitagishi. The world in Kitagishi’s acrylic gouache paintings evoke warm, nostalgic feelings reminiscent of childhood days spent gazing at picture books. The concept behind this Weeks book is “carrying around my own framed artwork.” The special feel and silky sheen of the texture make it different from printed designs, and the navy color gives it a mature look.
