Our customized silk guest books are hand-bound in shimmering Japanese silk, and personalized with coordinating designs, based on your photograph or logo, crafted in paper and fine satin ribbon. These one-of-a-kind modern guest books are finely constructed, offer outstanding archival quality and are a great way to record memories from your special occasion.

Pages are available either lined or blank
Lined guest books have 2 columns of 13 lines each on every page, for a total of 1,664 lines.
Blank guest books have perfectly plain pages, which makes them great for sketching or more informal guest messages.
Signatures are sewn to the hardcover binding, not simply glued, so they'll last forever. The sewn binding also allows the book to lie open perfectly flat.
The custom designed plate measures 6" square, and is crafted of layered cardstock.
The guest book is NOT recommended if you are planning to attach photos to every page.
The spine is not designed to accommodate the extra thickness that photos add, and if you mount more than a few photos or cards to the pages, the fore-edges will fan out and the book will not close properly. Here's how it works:
Choose which book you want to use as the base which your design will be attached to.
Use the drop-down boxes above to choose a silk color and a page style (blank or lined)
Choose two colors for the photo borders. (Don't worry yet about what color goes where--our artists will prepare a mockup for you based on their best judgment, and you’ll have the opportunity to rearrange colors later on, if necessary.) Select the colors you want using the swatches below, and choose the corresponding colors from the drop-down menus above.
Fill in your inscription information in the boxes above. Your inscription will be typeset in all-caps, Garamond, unless you request otherwise. If you prefer to have no inscription, just leave the boxes empty.
Add the guestbook to your cart and complete your order.
You should receive an email confirmation shortly after submitting your order. Be sure the email address you enter during checkout is correct, and please call us if you do not receive the confirmation within an hour.
Reply to this email with an attachment of your image. We can work with any photograph, logo, or drawing. Remember that the highest resolution images work best. We recommend choosing a jpg file at 300 dpi for photos, and a high resolution eps saved in vector format for line art. In your email, please be sure to include any special cropping or layout instructions. We'll review the artwork you send, and let you know if any modifications are required.
We'll email you a mockup of your design within a few days. Once you approve the design, we’ll begin assembly right away. If changes are needed, our artists will be glad to rework the preliminary mockup. You’ll have plenty of opportunity to communicate with our art department before the design is finalized.
Your completed book will be shipped out via the shipping method you choose during checkout.
A few notes regarding the design process:
Please bear in mind that the better quality image you provide, the better quality the final design will be.
Also remember that the image used on your book will be an artistic print of your image, not photo quality reproduction. We will print your image onto ivory cardstock, not photo paper, and the print may lack some of the fine detail seen in glossy photographs.
Your final print color may be slightly different from the original you send. Because the cardstock we print to is ivory with warm undertones, colors often appear warmer than your original. We do our best to adjust for this color shift, but exact color matching cannot be guaranteed.
The order form has a box for you to make comments. Please take advantage of this space to let us know about special requests, such as colors, cropping, etc...
